→ Finds pages with both words (implicit AND)
Quoted Phrases

→ Finds exact phrase only (words must be adjacent)

→ Exact phrase + another word (all required)
OR Operator

→ Finds pages with either word (or both)
"climate change" OR "global warming"
→ Either phrase (or both)
water OR soil management
→ Interpreted as: water OR (soil AND management)
AND Operator (Optional)
climate AND change
→ Same as climate change (AND is implicit)
→ Useful for clarity in complex queries
Combining Search Types
"food security" agriculture OR farming
→ Exact phrase + (agriculture OR farming)
Tips
- Use quotes for exact phrases:
"air quality"
- OR and AND must be UPPERCASE to work
- AND is optional (already implicit):
water soil = water AND soil
- More words = more restrictive (implicit AND)
- Check badges: 2/3 terms shows partial matches
